DIY Wedding Invitations Design Your Own

Are you looking for DIY wedding invitations that you can add your own design to? Here you will find a variety of options to choose from. We have two sided invitations, with a choice of card stock and edge trim; greeting cards with a choice of size and semi gloss or matte, and postcard styles. Are you new to designing online? You'll also find designing tips below the various style options.

For the two sided invitations, you can choose from the square or rounded corner shape. The one pictured is the rounded corner. You can also choose from normal, rounded, bracket, ticket, and tag. You can see the other edge designs by clicking on the link below, and then choosing the edge of your choice, that you'll find on the right hand side.

There is a choice of twelve finishes for a variety of looks, texture, and budgets. The Signature Semi-Gloss is the most economical finish. There are textured choices, shimmer choices, and also metallic. The thickness will vary depending upon which paper type you select.

The greeting card style comes in a choice of three sizes: note card, 5 x 7, and Big (8.5 x 11). It only comes in a choice of matte or semi gloss for the finish. There are some pink and red hearts on this card that you can customize and move around, or delete. You can also adjust their size by customizing.

The postcards are the most economical. They have a choice for gloss or a matte finish; they measure 4.25" x 5.6".

With all three options, you can make personalized design changes. You can choose a different font style and/or color, choose a background color, and/or add your own image(s). To make any of these changes, click on the card option of your choice, then click on Customize It. Then click on the Add Image or Add Text Button, as needed. Click on the X button in any individual template field that you want to delete. If you want to change the font, choose the font style (f) first, then choose the appropriate size.

Customizing Background Color
If your image is a JPEG and takes up the whole design space, then there is no room for a background color. If your image is surrounded by white, there is a way to change the white. See - Making White Transparent - in the next section.

To choose a different background color, click on Customize. If a text box or image box is showing, you will see a color palette. * Click on a basic color that you like, then click on Advanced to view the sliding scale to choose a different shade. If there is no text or image already showing (if you are creating from a blank product), you will firs need to add an image or text - either will do. Then click on the image or text field in the layout, and the color palette will come up. Go back to the * and follow the directions.

As you customize items, make sure to keep important images and text within the dotted lines on the layout.

Making White Transparent
If there is white around your image and you want to change it to a different color - while in customizing mode, click on the image in the layout field. The Click on the ...More button. One of the options will be - Show whites as transparent. Click on that and the whites will become transparent. Colors that have white in them will also become lighter. You can then Customize the Background color - described above.

Adding and Changing Images:

Add larger images first. If the image fills the whole background, add it first so that it won't cover any text or smaller images. If you need to arrange the order of the images - to uncover a previous image or text, look at the text field descriptions on the right side of the screen - Left Click on the image you want to move and drag it up to bring it on top of another image or text field.

To add an image, Click on Add Image.

Click on Image from your stored field, or Upload to upload a new image.

Click on the up arrow to increase the font size and the down arrow to decrease the font size.

Choosing Font Color:

Click on the appropriate Title Field or on the Text in the Layout Field. Look for the colored rectangle box next to the small T large T box, Click on the color. A palette will come up. Click on your color choice. The advance option will let you select from various shades. Pick your basic color range first, like a red, blue, etc., then Click on the Color Picker to be able to slide the icon to the shade that you want. Once you have made your selection, click somewhere on the blank screen and the palette box will go away and your font color will be changed.

Choosing the Orientation:

Some products have two different options for how the product is made, i.e. postage stamps can be made as portrait or landscape orientation. If the option is available for the specific product that you are customizing, their will be a button that will say either Portrait or Landscape, or Horizontal, Vertical. Sometimes the option is presented at the start of the product, other times it is shown once you have added an image, and then you will find it to the right, in the Description area.

Happy creating.

Personalized Monogram Wedding Stamps

You have found a selection of monogram wedding stamps that you can easily personalize with any letter.

Choosing monogrammed stamps for your wedding invitations is like making an affirmation of your new lives together.

For those who are having a vintage themed wedding, a scroll design displays your monogram on these postage stamps. The scroll is a blend of light brown, beige, and ivory; the letter is written in brown.

For those planning a black and white and/or star themed wedding, the kaleidoscope stars on black is an elegant choice.

Green is a great color choice for spring and summer weddings. This painted design looks like folds of light green fabric with wisps of gold blended in.

For those that like orange and/or roses, we've got one for you. Two lightly colored orange roses are to the left side with the monogram centered to the right. The background is a medium light shade of orange and the monogram is written in a darker shade.

Many wedding cakes feature a crisscross design, making this a nice choice, especially if your wedding cake is white with red and/or pink.

Red Wedding Stamps Custom Postage

Here you will find a selection of red themed postage stamps for your wedding. They can also be customized with your own personal text.

This first design features I do in yellow on a red background. The border shows an intricate design that was made by selecting a decorative font and spelling the word YES multiple times.

Monogrammed postage stamps are also a popular choice for wedding invitations. This design features two red tulips, side by side, with a placeholder for your monogram to the right.

This next stamp features a heart design. The heart is white, outlined in red, on a background of wisps of red on pink. Our Wedding is written in script letters of red, centered in the middle of the heart.

This next design is a perfect choice for winter and/or Valentine Weddings. It features a snowflake made of white hearts on a red background. In the center of the snowflake is a placeholder for initials, that are written in red.

Some brides and grooms like to include an RSVP notification on their invites. This design which includes red, also features orange and silver. The reddish orange fills two diagonal corners with a spray of silver star flowers aligning a pathway down the center. A lighter orange path fills the diagonal center with RSVP written across the center, in brown. This would be a great choice for autumn weddings.

This simple design of white text on red simply says, I do. It is written in a cursive font.

And last but not least, is a pretty arrangement of red tulips with a Thank you message written in yellow across the bottom.

Remember that you can customize the text on any of these designs. If you have any questions or requests, you can contact me via email to or through my Zazzle store, CherylsArt.

If you have a red image on your computer that you'd like to use, you can also create your own stamps online at Zazzle. You'll find the Customize It button to the right (after clicking on the link.) You can upload an image, type in text, pick your font and font color, and resize them and move them around. If you choose this option, happy creating to you.

Beach Save the Date Magnets for Weddings

The beach sounds like such a nice place to hold a wedding. The sound of the waves are in the background, and you're there, part of nature.

These Save the date magnets will easily let your guests know that you're planning a beach wedding; and they will have a keepsake.

Your guests can also easily refer to the date that is posted on their fridge, and see your names and wedding date.

This first design features my painting of a conch shell with the big blue ocean as a backdrop. The names are written across the sky in brown, one of the colors of the seashell. The wedding date is written in sky blue, below the shell, across the ocean.

This next design features my painting of a blue green ocean with gentle waves lapping along the shore. There is a beach area of sand in front of the ocean, with a place for the names and wedding date written across the sand. There is a large turquoise and white beach umbrella resting in the sand, above the names.

This last one features a romantic painting of two seashells laying in the sand. One shell is shades of purple and the other one is shades of blue. Above the painting is a placeholder for either Save the date, or names. Below the painting is a placeholder for your wedding date.

May you have a wonderful beach wedding.

Black and White Swan Wedding Invitations

Swans are such graceful looking birds; they will be a wonderful choice for your wedding invitations.

The black swan artwork here was inspired by two black swans that I saw swimming together, while I was on vacation.

The swans themselves are mostly black with a bit of white on the tips of their feathers, and also on their red beaks.

The water of green and blue shows shadows and highlights, giving it a romantic look.

If you would prefer more white, they are also ready on these 5 by 7 inch invitations as an outline drawing. The light blue accents gives it a lighter look. You can also see Save the dates and other options on this collection:

You can view more products with both of these black swan designs, by CherylsArt, at Zazzle. If you would like either design on any additional products you can let me know either through my Zazzle store, or via email to
