Saying Thank you with photo cards is a fun and inexpensive way to say thanks and also share wedding photos.

Below are some photo card designs that have a template form for you to easily replace with your photo. Some photos are pictured behind a frame and some are layered on top of a background.

Either way, if you need to adjust the size of the photo or the placement, you can click on Customize It, and then edit it.

The photo is layered on top of the pretty green and gold blends:

Casual Weddings - Love Postage Stamps

A coordinating design on your postage stamps can be a nice and casual touch to your wedding invites. They can be a simple design with the word Love, or you can customize the text with your own message; i.e. initials, monogram, etc.

This first selection is a nice touch for a purple themed wedding. These stamps are decorated with purple and white stars on a blended lavender background.

For a pink or red wedding, the wave of red hearts on pink is a pretty and decorative choice. The hearts are in various sizes and are lined up to form a wave on blends of pink.

The word Love on this green and brown stamp, looks like it is written in short neon lights; a fun choice for a computer trendy type couple.

For a Christmas themed wedding, the poinsettia heart is a fine wintry choice. The heart shape is made up of multiple poinsettias.

For those who also like sweets, consider the Candy Cane Heart. A candy cane heart is painted on a frosty background of pink.

For those who like simple and/or would like something in blue, the simple text design is for you. The word Love is written in script type letters in light blue on a background of medium royal blue.

Casual Weddings - Pink and Purple Geraniums Wedding Invitations

Pink and purple are a pretty combination for weddings. This geranium flower is pink with a deep purple towards the center of the petals. I visited a florist to find out the type, she thinks that this particular one might be a Martha Stewart Geranium.

The card stock that you choose will affect the final look of your cards. They can range from matte to shimmery, have different textures, and or color accent. You can also select the cut for the corners. You can choose a square cut corner, rounded, scalloped, and more.

The invitation below is shown on Traditional: Linen. The lavender background shows up well on this selection.

The text is easily personalized on the provided template forms.

Casual Weddings - Marriage Proposal Cards

A proposal card can enhance the occasion, and also provides a keepsake for the bride.

The term groom is used here as the one who is doing the proposing, and the bride is the one being proposed to.

Sometimes the groom may not know exactly what to say in the moment, or is better at writing it out ahead of time. Sometimes, they may want to add a special touch, such as some humor, romance, fun, or poetry. With that in mind, a proposal card can help the groom out; with the engagement ringengagement ringin hand, the groom can watch their intended bride's face, as their intended reads the card.

For the groom who wants to write their message across the sky, but doesn't have the means to do so; a skywriting card can be the next best thing.

For couples that use honey as an endearing term for one another; the honey bee can help with the popping of the question.

For couples where music is a big part of their life, the groom might like to choose something that expresses harmony.

For a hint of love and romance is the Paisleys in Love card.

I think you get the idea. The thing to keep in mind, is to choose a proposal card that fits your personalities, and expresses what is dear to your heart. If you are feeling creative, you can also design your own custom proposal card at .

Casual Weddings - Playing Cards as Favors and/or Entertainment

Many weddings have music for dancing, after the wedding. However, I know that not everyone likes to dance, and they might like to have something that they can easily do at their tables. Something simple like custom playing cards can serve as entertainment, and also be used as wedding favors. There can be a pack for each table at the reception, or for each family, or however you want to do it.

Some people may also enjoy playing a game in between dancing.

The wedding couples can choose from a variety of themes:

They can choose from fun designs:

Or something a bit more elegant:

And/or something colorful:

Whatever your choice, personalized wedding playing cards can offer entertainment and fun, and be a keepsake for afterwards.

Casual Weddings - Save the date Postcards

Although a couple has decided on having a casual wedding, sending out Save the date postcards can still be in order. A Save the date is sent as a courtesy to guests for when reservations may need to be made. A good rule of thumb is to send out the Save the dates 4 - 6 months before the wedding.

If multiple reservations are needed, i.e. hotel and airline, and/or if the wedding is during a peak travel time, i.e. around a holiday, then increasing that timeline will help your guests to make their plans.

Here are some pretty choices for Save the date Postcards:

First is the lively border of silver stars.

Next are the blue and orange flowers, with the text also written in blue and orange.

Our round choice is a colorful wreathe of flowers.

The above choices are easy to customize online; before placing your order. It is easy to type in your text.

Casual Weddings - It's a Choice

Deciding to have a casual wedding is a choice. Many factors can go in to the decision, whether it's money, personal preference, or something else.

I made the conscious choice to have a casual wedding, after having been in the wedding party of my best friends wedding. It was the first wedding I had ever been in, and I was rather surprised that when the guests left the church to head to the reception, that the wedding party had to stay for photographs. So we stayed, and we stayed. We had to stand just so, we had to place fingers just so. You would have thought we were models. Then after we got the photos back, they all looked posed, as which they were. There wasn't a natural, in the moment, photograph in the bunch.

I decided then and there that I wanted natural happenings. No posed photographs. Tying that together with my long ago dream of getting married on my favorite uncle's farm, was a perfect match for having a casual wedding. When I later met my husband to be, he agreed to getting married on my uncle's farm. I knew it was a match made in heaven. People took their own photos, copies were made and shared, and our wedding was a lot more relaxed than my best friend's wedding had been.

My best friend may have loved her wedding. I never asked her. That may have been her preference, and I wouldn't want to take away from that. Everyone is entitled to their own choice. I just wanted to share, so that you know, having a casual wedding can be wonderfully okay.

All the best to you on your wedding.
